After my post yesterday of my first time seeing a Tesla, I realized there are probably a lot of other ones I’ve yet to see. Ask me a car and we’ll see if I’ve seen it or not. I’ll start it off, I’ve never seen an Aston Martin of any model or vintage.

I haven’t seen anything more expensive than a LP560-4 Spyder, so I haven’t seen much.

this is the problem when you live down under.

we miss a lot of great stuff.

as anything less than 25 years old has to be converted to right hand drive to be registered.

Ah, that’s a stupid law. A Hellcat would make a great mail vehicle. To be fair, I’d much rather see Land Cruisers and Patrols and the like.

What comes to Aston Martins I saw a DB9 last week but they are pretty rare sight here too.

Was the Z1 yellow?

Always when I’m commuting/traveling I’ll try to spot the most exciting car for the day. During summertime you can see plenty of interesting things but everything depends on the weather. Those interesting cars that are parked in places that I know cannot be counted. Same goes for the cars belonging to coworkers or friends.

Most days are boring and I don’t see much. But usually at least a W124 M-B can be spotted nearly everyday. On good days the final decision for the best can be hard.

Now about BMW Z8? Those are very rare but they are hard to miss when spotted.

They are super rare, re-badged Mitsubishi Galant Lambdas. They are something of a unicorn - I almost want one just because they are so rare and so unknown.

No I think it was green. It has been a year or two since I saw it. I am fairly certain that I haven’t seen a Z8 yet.

Same here on all of those. The 918 is the only one I wouldn't be surprised to see from this list... The rest are far too exotic or sports car for the local roads.

Wow where do you live? I live in colorado and see ferraris, lamborghinis and astons daily. I am not joking when i say that i have seen at least 100 model s and ten roadsters. Seen all the standard super cars and most classics but have also seen a 918, 2 P1’s, 4 Veyrons, F40, Aventador 50th, Carreta gt, and also an extremely rare (1 of 2) Lamborghini Murciealago Super Veloce with a gated manual transmission! Have not seen an enzo or Laferrari. (Yet) I completely ignore the model s now since I see 4 everytime I get on the road. The only cars i havent seen are some of the hypercars like zonda, huayra, and Laferrari.

Some guy in Helsinki seems to have a yellow Z1. I thought that it was the only one here.

I saw a Z8 in Helsinki when they were still new cars. I have a second sighting too but it was in different color. So there’s at least two. I even managed to guess what registration plates they have and probably you can guess them too...

Which sounds like a lot, but when you see 100-200k cars daily and more expensive ones periodically, it wouldn’t be that unusual. Mind you, most of the supercars I have seen were in SoCal, due to better weather/roads.

The only of those I’ve seen is the Hellcat, I literally just saw a car hauler full of Challenger and Charger Hellcats pass us on the interstate.

I have to say, I believe you’re not looking. I’ve seen a handful of Teslas. I’ve seen many Aston Martins. And this is Australia. We don’t have a whole lot of money or expensive cars over here. We have 1 Tesla dealership in the country and it’s 1000km North, and I’ve still seen Teslas.

Not dissing your looking skills, maybe you’ve just missed them.

No, where I live people don’t tend to buy nice cars even if they could afford them because you can only drive them less than half the year, and I would have noticed a Tesla or an Aston, I usually look pretty closely when I’m out

Fair enough. I’m lucky enough to travel to the city every day for work, there are some nice cars in the city of course.
